Is propane safe? It's extremely safe! Propane has a very high flash point. The tanks are 3x stronger than gas/diesel.

Can your system be uninstalled and used again? Yes, it is very simple and cost effective!
Does your system void the vehicle warranty? No. Congress passed a law stating that no after market products will void a manufacturers warranty.
What' the warranty? 1 year on parts. How does it work? The Diesel Fuel Saver System is boost pressure activated, injecting propane in increasing amounts as the boost pressure level of the engine increases, producing power you are guaranteed to feel behind the wheel. This innovative design is only activated when the vehicle ignition is on and the engine is running, a distinct safety advantage. The injection system is controlled by an illuminated on/off switch located inside the cab, giving the driver full control of system operations. A vehicle mounted tank approximately 25% of vehicle fuel tank capacity is required. (Tanks sold separately)
Why Propane? The idea of injecting propane as a secondary fuel in turbo diesel engines has been widely used for many years and is not a new idea. However many of the earlier systems contained complicated propane mixers or sensors that had to be installed on the engine and adjusted under the hood, making them improbable for everyday use. (The Diesel Fuel Saver System is controlled by a simple illuminated on/off switch inside the cab.) Propane burns cleaner and cooler, and in turn your engine runs cleaner, cooler and longer. The engine's response is quick, smooth and powerful.
Why does it work so well? Propane acts as a "catalyst" when combined with diesel fuel. When propane is added to diesel fuel, almost 100% of the fuel is burned (as opposed to approximately 75% without propane injection) which is what gives you the boost of torque, horsepower and fuel economy.
How much increased torque and power can I expect? Horsepower and torque will increase from 25% to 60%
Is it hard to install? American Alternative Fuel provides detailed installation instructions with every Diesel Fuel Saver System sold. Each component is permanently and clearly labeled for easy installation. Installations on most applications should not exceed two hours. Technical assistance is also available.
Will it help my mileage? YES! Fuel economy is increased significantly. You can expect an increase of 1-3 mpg depending on your driving style.
Can I use the Diesel Fuel Saver System for towing heavy loads? YES! You will enjoy using the Diesel Fuel Saver System for towing. Remember, you should never tow more than your truck is rated for or hold the throttle wide open for extended periods.
Does the Diesel Fuel Saver System increase EGT Temperatures? Only by about 50° or less in some instances it actually decreases EGT temps.
Can the Diesel Fuel Saver System be used with other aftermarket performance products for diesel trucks? YES! The Diesel Fuel Saver System is the perfect addition and will only further enhance the performance of chips, exhaust systems etc. It can also be used on stock turbo diesels as the only performance accessory.
What kind of tank do I need? A securely mounted DOT approved certified propane tank, available at most RV and propane dealers, at least 25% of your vehicle fuel capacity. If a vertical tank is used, the tank must be securely mounted in the upright position only. A 20lb tank should be good for a range of at least 500 miles depending on your driving style.
Will the Diesel Fuel Saver System void my vehicle warranty? Aftermarket products designed to improve performance should not affect your manufactures warranty. Should your vehicle require a trip to the dealer for routine maintenance or repairs, the Diesel Fuel Saver System is easily removable and labeled for ease in reinstalling. |
