Our Bi-fuel Hybrid Propane Injection System for Gas Engines...
The VSI-LPG System: VSI is an abbreviation for "Vapor Sequential Injection".
This system is fully integrated by way of a "master - slave" method with the petrol management system, making it EOBD compatible, therefore signal emulation is not required. LPG and CNG industry are entering a new dimension with this development.
By injecting the LPG the same way as petrol there is no more difference between driving on petrol or LPG. You will only notice the difference at the pump and as benefit to the environment. Prins Autogassystemen B.V. developed their LPG/CNG injector in close cooperation with Keihin Corp. of Japan, one of the world’s leading injector manufacturers and a name that stands for OEM quality and reliability. The injector is perfectly linear as from 2.5 ms with a guaranteed performance and a durability of at least 290 million cycles (OEM quality). These specifications discern our injector from other injectors on the market. The capability of the injector driver of our ECU can manage up to 10 cylinders. In combination with our dedicated software, optimal drivability and emissions can be achieved.
Improvements in comparison with the first generation of gas injection systems:
1. Small and compact design with smart touch control, suitable for all dashboards
2. Additional dry-gas filter
3. Reducer with compact design for easy installation
The Reducer:
Description:
This device converts liquid LPG to vaporized LPG using the coolant system of the engine. It also serves to reduce the tank pressure to working pressure.
- Single stage
- Large capacity (14 gr/s)
- Stable dynamic characteristics
- Adjustable pressure range with anti-tamper seal
- Independent MAP system, due to excellent LFR of the injector
- MAP function, optional
- Integrated OEM coolant sensor
- Complies with R67-01 homologation with pressure relieve valve (5 bar)
- Complete with shut-off solenoid valve, liquid gas filter and magnet
- Compact design for ease of installation.
Shut-off Solenoid valves:
Description:
This safety device serves to shut off the liquid LPG flow. Fitted directly on the reducer.
Filter Unit:
Description:
This device is filtering the fuel to prevent damage to the injectors. The filter unit is also equipped with a pressure/temperature sensor for the fuel.
Injector:
Description:
Injects LPG into the inlet manifold for each cylinder.
- Excellent linear flow rate (LFR = linear behavior from minimum to maximum flow)
- Linear from 2,5ms
- Model range compatible with small and large engine displacement
- OEM quality injectors with guaranteed performance and long durability (290 million cycles)
- Uncomplicated fitting
- Assembled and leak tested at factory prior to dispatch
- 2, 3, 4 or 5 cylinder assemblies
ECU Electronic Control Unit:
Description:
The VSI-ECU controls the VSI system.
This includes:
- Measuring the engine signals, petrol-injectors, RPM, MAP, coolant, etc
- Controlling the LPG-solenoids
- Controlling the LPG-injectors
- Cut off the petrol-injectors
- Read out fuel choice
- Communication with the diagnostics program
- ECM injector driver capability up to 10 cylinders
- Injector drivers based on “closed loop peak & hold current control”
- Constant monitoring of the injector diagnostics: Overload ~ Driver Temperature ~ Short circuit ~ No load
- Software for diagnostics, service and parameter load operates with Windows 98, 2000, XP and Vista
- AN-controller (2.0b) enables communication with OEM CAN-bus
- Complete wiring harness: color coded, with text and numbers for simple and efficient installation
Fuel Switch:
Description :
The fuel switch used by the VSI-system controls the following functions:
- Fuel choice
- Monitoring the fuel level
- Reporting errors
The fuel switch is operated by a touch key to switch from petrol to LPG. It is equipped with LED indicators to monitor the level of the fuel in the tank. When the LPG level is too low the reserve LED lights-up. When there is an automatic switch-over to petrol, because the LPG tank is empty, the driver is warned by an audio signal and a flashing LED indicator.
Propane is the #1 alternative fuel worldwide with more than 8-million vehicles in operation; consuming more than 18-billion gallons annually.
- Propane is easily distributed and the infrastructure is cost effective
- Propane provides significant fuel cost savings over gasoline and diesel
- Propane is cleaner burning offering environmental benefits
- Propane is as safe as gasoline
- Propane fuels up just like gasoline
- Propane offers more mileage between oil changes
- Propane is 50% cleaner burning than gas
- Propane-converted engines last longer
- Propane conversions will not affect RV warranties
Propane has so many benefits for the consumer.
